Every month we hold Family Camps in different villages along the River Negro, Solimoes and Amazonas. The camp begins with a simple message for the children with lots of singing, acting and dancing. There’s always an opportunity for the kids to respond to the love of God, and during this time many do.

After the presentation the team divides into groups to work with the different age ranges which includes a play area for the toddlers, colouring and drawing for the children, sewing or jewellery making for the teenagers, sports for the teenagers and activities for the Mums and Dads with team members to look after the babies so all the parents can join in.
 
Finally, we give everyone a hot meal and a drink, which gives the team a chance to spend longer with the families. Before leaving, we always try to give gifts to all the kids and monthly food bags to the families who are struggling. The Family Camps are always very special and provide us with an opportunity to show our love and support to the families of the Amazon.
